Purpose, in the publication’s words

This manual implements Air Force Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/ Evaluation, and General Operations Structure, and AFMAN 11-202, Vol. 3, Flight Operations. This manual applies to civilian employees and uniformed members of the Department of the Air Force’s Regular Air Force (RegAF), Air Force Reserve (AFR), and Air National Guard (ANG) when flying the EC-130J. This manual provides the most acceptable guidance and procedures for most circumstances but does not replace sound judgement. This manual requires the collection and or maintenance of information protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 authorized by Title 10 United States Code (USC), Section 9013, Secretary of the Air Force. The applicable System of Records Notice (SORN) F011 AF XO A, Aviation Resource Management Systems (ARMS), is available at: http://dpclo.defense.gov/Privacy/SORNs.aspx. The authority for maintenance of the Automated Records Management System (ARMS) is 37 USC 301a

Summary of changes, as printed

This document has been substantially revised and must be completely reviewed. Significant changes include adding tier waiver authorities and aligning EC-130J guidance with other variants of the C-130J. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) reduced duplication and added additional guidance for Airdrop Operations. EC-130J aircrew should review this publication in its entirety.
