Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Correia Virtus LLC ("Military Toolkit", "we", "us"). By accessing or using militarytoolkit.com or any of its subdomains (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who we are

Military Toolkit publishes free calculators and reference guides covering U.S. military pay, entitlements, and transition benefits. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense, any military branch, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), or any other government agency.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may view, print, and save for personal reference the results generated by our calculators.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service, except as expressly permitted;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code beyond what is already served to your browser;
• Scrape the Service or use automated means to download substantial portions of its content in ways that burden our infrastructure;
• Use the Service to develop a competing product by systematically copying its layouts, UI, or combinations of data;
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices.

4. Not professional advice

The Service provides general information and calculated estimates for educational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute legal, tax, financial, investment, insurance, or benefits-eligibility advice, and nothing on the Service creates a fiduciary, attorney–client, or tax-preparer relationship between you and Correia Virtus LLC.

Before making a financial, legal, or benefits decision based on information you see here, consult your unit finance office, a qualified licensed professional, or the official government source (JTR, DFAS, DTMO, VA, IRS). We cite our sources so you can verify them.

5. Accuracy of calculators

Our calculators use published 2026 rates from the Joint Travel Regulations, DFAS pay tables, DTMO per diem and MALT schedules, IRS Publication 15-T, and analogous official sources. We update these rates when the sources change. Despite our care, calculator output is an estimate — not a guarantee — and your actual pay, entitlement, or tax outcome may differ because of facts specific to your situation, rounding conventions, mid-period rate changes, or errors beyond our control.

You acknowledge and agree that you use any calculator result at your own risk. We disclaim responsibility for financial losses, missed entitlements, tax adjustments, or any other damages arising from reliance on the Service.

6. User-submitted content

If you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use that content to improve the Service. Do not send us confidential personal information, PII about others, CUI, classified material, or copyrighted content you do not own.

7. Third-party content and links

The Service may link to external websites, publications, or services we do not control (for example, defense.gov, DFAS, VA.gov, Plaid, Google). We provide these links for convenience only and do not endorse or assume responsibility for any content, privacy practices, or business practices of those third parties. Your use of third-party sites and services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Advertisements shown on the Service are served by Google AdSense and its partners. We do not endorse the advertised products or services and cannot vet every advertiser.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including its layout, design, code, calculator logic, original written explanations, and the compiled datasets we curate (but excluding the underlying public-domain government data) — is owned by Correia Virtus LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws of the United States and other countries. "Military Toolkit" and related logos are our trademarks. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual-property rights to you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate applicable law or the rights of others;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems;
• Transmit malware, worms, or any other harmful code;
• Misrepresent your identity, rank, or service status;
• Scrape at rates or patterns that harm the availability of the Service for other users.

We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access of any IP or user that violates these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORREIA VIRTUS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (a) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (b) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (c) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA OR COMMUNICATIONS.

IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above exclusions and limitations may not apply in full to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Correia Virtus LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time by closing your browser.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
