Synopsis as published on the index
This Order establishes the Marine Corps Ground Awards Program (MCGAP), provides procedural guidance regarding the subject program, and consolidates several previous ground awards orders into a single order. The MCGAP is administered by the Deputy Commandant, Plans, Policies and Operations (DC PP&O) and consists of individual and squad-level awards for excellence in ground combat arms, special operations, and overall outstanding performance while serving in Marine Corps Divisions in accordance with references (a) through (l). Specific award criteria, submission guidance, and biographies of award namesakes for whom the individual awards are dedicated are provided herein and in enclosures (1) through (7).
