Purpose, in the publication’s words

This manual implements DoDI 7770.02, Uniformed Services Pay File. This manual provides base- level military pay procedural guidance for Regular Air Force Financial Management Flights. This Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) applies to uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), United States Space Force (USSF), Air Force Reserve (AFR) and the Air National Guard (ANG) when the member is serving under Title 10 orders. (Note: All reference to US Air Force-specific terminology also applies to the DAF, including the USSF, or to the USSF equivalent, as appropriate. For example, references to Airmen also apply to Guardians. Air Staff roles and responsibilities also apply to the equivalent Office of the Chief of Space Operations (informally referred to Space Staff) office. Space Force field commands should refer all policy and procedure questions to the equivalent Space Staff office.) This DAFMAN may not be supplemented.
